I had high hopes but so have been severely disappointed. The game crashes constantly. If this gets fixed, I will re-rate it

Crashes instantly. Ive never gotten the game past the initial loading splash on my iPad or iPhone.

This is a great game. Very addictive! The only thing missing is the ability to sell items you no longer need.

Playing on iPad mini. Really want to like this game. Nice graphics, good sound, but touch controls laggy if not outright unresponsive and I cant even enter the dungeon because the door never unlocks. Waste of money, so far.

While only an hour or so into the game, I like it! The controls are a little clunky, but overall its remarkably well done. All of the negative reviews so far seem off base. I have yet to encounter any gameplay issues that cant be figured out quickly. Could use a bit more of a tutorial! Overall a lot of fun! Miss the old school games like this! Good job Steve!

It so does remind me of playing Wizardry on my apple IIe. It’a sheer voyage to a simpler past when all the action took place in your mind … I’ve been playing it for more than 24 h (the game tells me) and the thrill ’s still there. It’s not hack and slash, but it’s the best surprise for me in RPG ipad iphone games so far. a hint: no need keeping those hoarded items…. there’s no one to buy them ;-) another one: don’t forget the food for this picnic, you’d regret it the updates fixed all major issues, IT’S A BREEZE now

But this isnt one of them. Id rather tear my throat out than play this game for an hour.

This game is amazing! I love everything about it and it is a challenging but fun time.

Originally this game had very clunky controls and the lack of mana regeneration was killer when it came to fights. After the recent patches I would say the controls are very easy and the mana regeneration is very nice. This is a very fun game and I would highly recommend trying it out now. If you had problems with it before and quit playing I would suggest giving it a try again

Very fun game. Its got a lot to it, and its a refreshing new rpg style. It took me a long time to figure out every control, and they were pretty clunky. However, its well worth it. If this type of rpg game expands, Id be more than happy to keep buying new games. This is well worth the $5.

Wonderful dungeon crawl. Even more wonderful was the responsiveness of the designer to reports of issues and suggestions for improvement. The resultant patches/updates made the game smoother and definitely worth the price.

This looked like such a good game, but I cant get past the first level. The door to the portal or whatever doesnt open. Please fix this, because so far this was a waste of money.

UPDATE: I just finished the game. Excellent fun, but the ending was boring. I wont give anything away except its basically "congrats you won. Thanks for playing!". The End. Could have been a nicer finish. A little end story or something. A hint to an expansion or the next game in the series. (Original review below) I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this game pop up in the App Store. Ive been playing it for a few hours now and Im liking it. I have had some issues with picking up items, but I eventually did manage to get them. This needs to be resolved. Also, as. Mentioned a better tutorial, or online document would be helpful. Can I sell my gear to a shop keeper. Does the shop keeper ever get more, or new equipment? Reminds me of Legend of Grimrock. Lots of fun even though a few issues still need to be ironed out. Keep up the great work. NOTE: any issues I had seem to have been fixed. The only issue I saw now is that if you go to the map and then quickly go back to the gameplay the controls lock. You have to save, return to main menu and then load your save to continue.

Very nice old-school style gaming. The controls are very intuitive and functional and are not overly fussy. The only suggestion I have for improvement is to have the map note chests that are not yet opened and the color of the special doors on each level.

If you like old school like Eye of the Beholder then this game is for you! I love the graphic and the game is fun, made for iPad. Sure, you can try iPhone but this is definitely sweet if you play it on iPad. With some changes and updates, the game is so much fun now! Im on floor nine and it is get more interesting! Definitely a must buy game if you enjoy this kind of game!

Its really hard to finds keys so please make it a little better to find them we should also like buy weapons and armor and like sell it to the girl in the first level but keep it up !

I died within five minutes and no way to bring characters back to life...not even food or rest. Do NOT spend your money, you WILL regret it!

This is a challenging game that is not that forgiving. It is mainly meant for those that like the older generations of games. It is NOT meant for those that like a quick shoot and be done with it type of game. I highly recommend this game to anyone with patience. also you can look up videos of this game.

If you are a fan of dungeon master and grimrock then you will love this game. Very stable. Great puzzles, music and atmosphere. Well done. I am down to level 9. Not sure how far this goes. Having tons of fun in this RPG.
